Worked at South Central Los Angeles animal shelter as a canine behavioral consultant (2007-2008)

Worked at North Central Los Angeles animal shelter for the transport program (2007-2008)

Managed the Pit Bull Academy at the South LA Shelter which paired parolees and homeless Pit Bulls – sponsored by Tia Torres from Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls and Parolees (2007)

Boarded aggressive Pit Bulls and mastiffs who could not be housed at a regular boarding facility (1999-present)

Philanthropy:

Selecting temperament appropriate Pit Bulls from LA County shelters as well as fostering and training Pit Bulls for Angel City Pit Bull Rescue (2010-2013)

Provided free behavior modification and obedience for Pit Bulls in foster care under Angel City Pit Bull Rescue (2010-2013)

Taught canine handling in the shelter environment (with emphasis on The American Pit Bull Terrier behavior) at South LA Animal Shelter (2011)

Guest speaker at several LA City schools – topics covered: Canine Training, The American Pit Bull Terrier Behavior, kindness to animals and careers in the animal field (2000-present)

Volunteered at Mark Watters Animals – trained cats for Sabrina the Teenage Witch, assisted with dogs, wolves, Bengal Tigers and exotic birds (2000)

Taught obedience classes and guest speaker for the Pets in the Hood program which brought together Pit Bulls with incarcerated teens (1998-2000)

Behavioral consultant and trainer for Tia Torres (of Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls and Parolees) Villalobos Rescue Center (1998-2000)

Fostered Pit Bulls and Italian Mastiffs for Villalobos Rescue Center (1998-2000)

Wrote several articles covering canine aggression and the American Pit Bull Terrier for The Pet Press magazine (1999-2000)
